This was just a fun post I ran into yesterday. Absolutely gorgeous and precious. I’ve seen cob homes, yurts, thatched roof homes, and of course, over here, we have structures made from bamboo, and various Hawaiian/Polynesian structures.
So, as I felt it was a fun post, I post this for fun. And perhaps as a vision for how all of our dwellings may be built in harmony with our planet and our local communities. [note: a few “flamboyantly dark” phrases were removed]

it’s a sign of our [times] that a man building his own home in the countryside due to his own ingenuity makes the news.
this is what MAN has always done, building a shelter for his family…!
A man has built a hillside home reminiscent of a hobbit house from JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings — on a budget of just £3,000.
Simon Dale constructed the woodland home for his family in Wales, taking only four months to fully complete the project with help from his father-in-law. Built with “maximum regard for the environment” it contains a cosy living room, an open-plan kitchen and a split-level bedroom area. The home is also adorned with fairy lights and wooden furniture to complete the look.
