The Puʻu ʻŌʻō vent, which has been erupting continuously since January 3, 1983, has emptied. As I understand it, it has been the primary source of vog (volcanic fog) in Kona. Now the lava has moved downstream from the vent, and some believe it may break out further down in Puna (we in Kona are on the other side of the island, and not in the path of this flow).

This to me reflects the major shifts that are going on right now on the planet. Old foundations being removed, new ones being laid, as in the new lava floor at Halemaumau (see these Kp blog posts).

This is a great video, in my view.
