…and perhaps the only one, if you’re “tuned in to” the ocean.

These are “surf shorts”… this is my current collection. Each has their own energy, and I’ve use different ones on different missions. For myself, one important aspect of these is that they have a left-side pocket (I’m left handed).

My personal favorite place on Big Island to buy: Ross Dress for Less

Favorite brand: Hamakua (they have left side pockets)

Total cost of the five pairs above: $65 (buy at a big time surf shop and you’ll pay $65 EACH)

If you’re local (and want other locals to know that): shorts should hang 2″ below the bottom of knees

If you’re a visitor (and want locals to know that): wear 2-4” above the knees
