Ed Mattson VT 3-17-16… “How Harry Truman might look at Donald Trump”

veterans_today_banner_NEW_253veterans_today_ed_mattson_banner_1First off, I am not promoting (and will not) any political person, especially in THE USA CORP president race. Until major changes occur from within “the US” (whatever you take that to mean), and I mean in an upliftment of CONSCIOUSNESS, the change at an level in THE USA CORP government will be superficial, at best.

So this whole THE USA CORP president race is, however, bringing out “players in truth”, or maybe better, “players who mirror to us all the crap and positive qualities” that we embody.

I feel Mr. Trump is one of these. I am quite sure he cannot be bought out by any corporation, and I do not believe he would ever allow that. So like it or don’t, here’s a rather neat (my view) article about “The Donald”.

[Note: I do not necessarily agree with all the points the author brings out here; some are pretty “conservative”, “dammit get off your ass and get to work”, oriented.]

“Listening to fools like Lindsey Graham, and Mitt Romney – the same Mitt Romney that couldn’t beat Obama despite the worse economy since the Great Depression – is just demonstrative proof that Washington and those so called power-brokers, are fearing the worst possible fate should Trump actually win… a president that they cannot control or be bought-off with lobbyist money.

“…Washington in general, Democrats, Republicans, and are so fearful of what will happen to their little bureaucratic fiefdoms should the current revolt by the American voter put Donald Trump in the White House, they are now trying to find ways to change the primary-election rules; throwing every stereotypical doomsday warning they can think of; and teaming up to say “Trump can’t beat Clinton”, and using every dirty trick in the book (and some we haven’t even seen yet) to stop the Trump train.

“The Republican’s want to force their hand-selected and easy-to-control, be that Kasich, Romney, Ryan, or anybody for that matter, down the throats of their party members through a brokered convention, while the Democrats sit on the sideline with their criminally complicit media stooges predicting “Hillary will win in a landslide”.

“President Truman identified politicians correctly using himself as the perfect example . . . “My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician. And to tell the truth, there’s hardly any difference.” Hopefully the voters will take notice.

““The human animal cannot be trusted for anything good except EN MASSE. The combined thought and action of the whole people of any race, creed or nationality, will always point in the right direction.” Words of wisdom soon forgotten by most of those we have elected to office. Government’s failed policies of centrally planned programs have done little to bring about desired results which have cost the American taxpayers trillions of wasted dollars…”

How Harry Truman might look at Donald Trump

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

Isn’t it amazing that GOP that was so worried about Donald Trump at the first GOP debate, that they tried to box him in to committing to support whatever GOP candidate the Republicans ended up selecting in the primaries. These are the same hypocrites that are now trying to find any way they can to stop Trump from winning.

Listening to fools like Lindsey Graham, and Mitt Romney – the same Mitt Romney that couldn’t beat Obama despite the worse economy since the Great Depression – is just demonstrative proof that Washington and those so called power-brokers, are fearing the worst possible fate should Trump actually win . . . a president that they cannot control or be bought-off with lobbyist money. Their very opposition should be enough reason to check the box for Trump when you are alone in the voting booth.

Personally I cannot stand Trump’s arrogance, and can barely tolerate listening to his lack of decorumtruman1 and respect when he speaks about people who are against him, but maybe that is the attitude that it is going to take to clean house inside the Beltway. His abruptness, though not Trumanesque, has been one of shock and dismay by his opponents on both sides of the aisle much like Truman.

History can be a great teacher, and is probably the reason our Department of Education has opted out of teaching real American history in schools. Instead they choose to indoctrinate our children to be good little Maoists, filling their heads full of Marxist ideas that goes against every grain of freedom, liberty, and self-responsibility that made America the greatest country on earth. Maybe they can be trained to accept mediocrity, but I for one, certainly reject it.

Those who don’t see that are blinded by stupidity or are simply so tied to situation comedies and reality shows on television, the world is passing them by. How else can one possibly explain the popularity of a candidate like Bernie Sanders, a self-confessed Socialist/Marxist who believes in the legalized theft of the earnings of hardworking Americans (taxes), and redistributing them to those who do not have the self-responsibility to seek and achieve their own dreams. It is our children who are buying into such tripe that has failed every time it is tried, and can only be held together at the point of a gun.

Median family income has dropped slightly to $53,657, down from the year before. Every income group has suffered losses, with the lowest fifth of households dropping close to 1%. As for poor America which has been being steered to the New Government Plantation by Democrats and liberal Republicans for years, the overall poverty number barely budged. It did however climb by almost 600,000 among blacks in 2014, more than half of whom were under age 18. Black unemployment is more than double for the white population . . . so much for the hope and change promised by Obama back in 2008.

Additionally, Democrat policies have setback race relations 50 years with their ridiculous politically correct diversity programs, and because of Obamacare – AKA, Affordable Care Act – we have seen the demise of our once vibrant workforce. Administration policies, rules, and regulations, coupled with mandatory employer based health insurance for employees who work more than 30 hours a week, we can now boast the smallest workforce participation rate since the Great Depression (95 million people out of work). Forget about the phony unemployment rate the government touts; liars figure and figures lie.

Sure, some of those who were uninsured before Obamacare now have insurance paid for by we taxpayers, but for far many others, the cost of insurance coupled with higher deductibles, and the loss of their family doctors, is depriving them from adequate healthcare.

If you consider that United Healthcare, the nation’s largest insurer, is scaling back its marketing of Obamacare exchange plans and may exit the program completely; and that nearly half of the 23 non-profit insurance plans created under Obamacare in 2011, at a cost of $2.4 billion, have announced they will close by the end of the year, we see the train wreck that was predicted when the Democrats force-through their nearly 3000-page healthcare bill in 2009-2010.

After seven years of a miserable and failed presidency that has boosted the U.S. debt to over $19 trillion dollars; and has increased the number of beneficiaries on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)—AKA food stamps–to more than 46,000,000 for 38th straight months, according to data released by the Department of Agriculture (USDA), it is time to find a no-nonsense captain for our ship of state.

So let’s cut to the chase. Washington in general, Democrats, Republicans, and are so fearful of what will happen to their little bureaucratic fiefdoms should the current revolt by the American voter put Donald Trump in the White House, they are now trying to find ways to change the primary-election rules; throwing every stereotypical doomsday warning they can think of; and teaming up to say “Trump can’t beat Clinton”, and using every dirty trick in the book (and some we haven’t even seen yet) to stop the Trump train.

The Republican’s want to force their hand-selected and easy-to-control truman2candidate, be that Kasich, Romney, Ryan, or anybody for that matter, down the throats of their party members through a brokered convention, while the Democrats sit on the sideline with their criminally complicit media stooges predicting “Hillary will win in a landslide”. The out-of-touch masses of uninformed American’s who probably will never get off their butts and show-up to vote, may be convinced to believe that, so why all the worry for those who oppose Trump? They should be cheering Trump’s success.

As to those entrenched Republicans who have been in office far too long and have abused the privilege they have had to serve with their self-enrichment mentality, the thing they fear most, is being booted off they gravy-train and being sent home to live under the mess they created by not standing on principle.

For most Americans who are under the age of forty, I probably should grant you some slack I suppose, for you may be the product of our failed education system, seized by the federal government with the creation of the Department of Education in 1979 under the failed Democrat president, Jimmy Carter. And so maybe we don’t remember one of the great Democrat presidents, Harry Truman, who was a man of conviction, a man of few words, and a president who spoke what was on his mind.

According to the National Churchill Museum, the words of George Santayana from his book, The Life of Reason, written in 1905 . . . “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” So I give our readers who are just plain tired of being taken for granted and treated with disrespect by those we elected to office the following quotes which were uttered by Truman during his time as the resident of the White House (April 12, 1945 – January 20, 1953):

President Truman identified politicians correctly using himself as the perfect example . . . “My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician. And to tell the truth, there’s hardly any difference.” Hopefully the voters will take notice.

“You want a friend in Washington? Get a dog.” The Good Old Boys Club, where everyone gets along in Washington is for the birds. The people’s representatives should be strictly business.

“This administration is going to be cussed and discussed for years to come.” True for Truman and most likely will be true should Trump become president.

“Men make history and not the other way around. In periods where there is no leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better.” Is there any better statement for the failure of leadership we have seen for the past two presidencies and their administrations?

“Carry the battle to them. Don’t let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive and don’t ever apologize for anything.” Perfect words for President Obama and failed Secretary of State, Ms. Clinton, for their lackluster performances.

Those who want the Government to regulate matters of the mind and spirit are like men who are so afraid of being murdered that they commit suicide to avoid assassination.” The failures of all Marxist societies could not be more accurately described and somewhere in those words you will see where America is headed under the false promises of those like Obama, Clinton, and Sanders.

“Washington is a very easy city for you to forget where you came from and why you got there in the first place . . . I remember when I first came to Washington. For the first six months I wondered how the hell I ever got here. For the next six months I wondered how the hell the rest of them ever got here.” Everyone of those elected to govern should take stock of what Truman was saying here, and we the voters need to remind them with the power of our votes to remove them from office when they do other than what we sent them to Washington to do.

“The human animal cannot be trusted for anything good except EN MASSE. The combined thought and action of the whole people of any race, creed or nationality, will always point in the right direction.” Words of wisdom soon forgotten by most of those we have elected to office. Government’s failed policies of centrally planned programs have done little to bring about desired results which have cost the American taxpayers trillions of wasted dollars . . . do the Great Society, War on Poverty, and Shovel-Ready Jobs Programs ring a bell? Freedom and liberty can only be guaranteed through self-responsible actions of the people.
