Kp Mana’o (heartfelt opinion) on the Video, “Pa’a Ke Aupuni”

Previously posted here, I share my mana’o about this professionally created and presented video, particularly what I saw at the end of the video. This is my heartfelt mana’o (opinion) about the video and it’s the last 10 minutes from this show.

The bottom line here, and a main point, is that I believe it is very helpful to look at who created this video, and who funded it. OHA did (the website credits read, “An Office of Hawaiian Affairs production”).

And it appears, to me, this is another attempt to promote the infamous “Hawaiian nation within nation”, and to keep people who wish to see the full return of the Kingdom of Hawai’i, in the dark, and perhaps a little depressed.

Unfortunately, the ending message appears to be, “Yes, here’s a beautifully illustrated history of how the Kingdom fell, and how it happened; but please just forget about the ‘Return of the Kingdom of Hawai’i’, and focus instead on building a ‘Hawaiian nation within the nation of the USA’.”

And please use your own discernment about this. This is MY mana’o, no one else’s.
