Celebrating Mauna Kea (Mauna a Wākea) with a shirt…

kp_ku_kiai_mauna_shirt

There we go… $4.99 shirt (from Walmart), $1.19 Puffy Paint (from Walmart), and a few minutes of spelling.

As I understand it, the phrase means, “Guardian of the Mauna”. To me this means not only Mauna Kea (Mauna a Wākea), but all sacred sites. In particular, that most Sacred of sites… the one within each of us.

The lines above the mauna represent the “Mana of the Mauna” (Mana = energy).

This is what I intend to wear for Sunday’s Ali’i Drive March in Kona, 2 PM, 5-17-15 (meet at Lanihau Center, 1:45 PM).

Aloha Kp (please note, this shirt painting is part of a time-reversal process, whereby I am age-regressing to what appears to be about 5 years old… All things are possible to those who recognize their child within…)
