Notes from Luisa about "the Missing SaLuSa", and Mike…oh, yes, and More SaLuSa on Friday…

Very early this morning, 9-14-11, after posting the most recent SaLuSa, this was posted on Mike Quinsey’s website, by Maria Luisa Vasconcellos.

Dear Readers,
I have received an answer from Mike some moments ago. After checking my mail to his amazement he was aware of the situation and told he will resume as normal on Friday.

Something happened to Mike’s message from SaLuSa today. Mike himself is unable to discover what the accident was and has asked us to allow him to pick up again Friday.

Note from Luisa: to our surprise, the message that we received from Mike today, was a copy of the one of September 9. Luisa asked Mike what happened, and this was his reply:
Hi, Maria, I am confused as anyone else, I am coming to the conclusion that somehow I lost today’s message, as I cannot trace it anywhere. I seem to remember thinking I had put the wrong date on one and amending it, and I feel that is where I mixed it all up. I think it is best to forget today’s and let me resume as normal on Friday. I am really sorry for the confusion I have caused.

In the course of a separate email, Mike adds:
“I cannot of course let this opportunity go without apologising for the problems arising over Wednesday’s message. Yes, I may be going mad as files seem to vanish into thin air, and I am getting mixed up as to what is happening. I have written this Email twice and thought I had sent it out, but I cannot find it anywhere. So the next message will be on Friday. Mike Quinsey.”
I don’t think anything sinister has happened. It may be that Mike has a new machine and a new operating system and either a setting is off or an old procedure produces new and unintended results. More SaLuSa on Friday.
