The Waves and the Wash…

I stood next to the ocean over here today, waiting for Guidance to enter or not. Had my fins, was ready at any moment to go in. Waves are very large, for here (Puuhonua o Honaunau). And some larger waves, when they hit the rocks, send their wash along the flats. Sometimes the washes they combine together to make a bigger wash; that’s what’s in the photo. And that’s what gets people knocked over… not the wave itself.

So as I was looking out, a park ranger came and warned me about the big waves doing just what I described. So I thanked him, and still was ready to jump in if called.

Just then a HUGE wave came and crashed near the point where I would have gone in. The multi-washes combined and washed up about to my knees, then faded back. At that point, I knew my “work” was done. So I left.

No one knew why I was there. I did not know why I was there. I WAS going out for coffee. It seems there was some type of energetic balancing happening over here. And perhaps I was called out for that.

Mow I’ve passed through a deep sense of isolation or alone-ness after returning to the beach here. No one knows what we do. No one knows who we really are. But there are many many on this planet who do the same, without fanfare, without fans, without awards. That is following Guidance, for you.

At least I got my feet, legs, and bottom wet!!
