“This you have done … Your humility and courage honor our Hawaiian Traditions of Faith, Culture, Aloha, what is pono, and each other.

“The heavens have spread the message of your courage — the history of the Kingdom of Hawai’i is being made known to people all over the world, people who would not have had the chance to hear the truth of our sacrifice to stand up against the odds were it not for you and the courage of the many who stood arm in arm together as one voice, one people and one nation throughout Hawai’i nei. For all the Hawaiian Islands, the entire South Pacific Islands and the world stood in solidarity with us all.”
