This was just posted at the Kingdom of Hawai’i blog, and outlines how the Kingdom will honor “natural law”, protection of the Kingdom environment, and sets a date (January 17, 2015) for those not working via this principle to “cease and desist… in pursuing options that deny the continued existence of the Kingdom or otherwise work to extinguish the Kingdom…”
Here are a few highlights, from my viewpoint.
“In ancient Hawai’i, Natural Law guided the Human civilization. The people understood that their decisions regarding the use of natural resources should be guided by the principle of protecting and enhancing the ecosystems and the resources supported by those ecosystems, so that future generations would thrive.
“This discussion is relevant to the policy decisions that will have to be made in the restored Kingdom about those who have cooperated in the effort to destroy the Kingdom. The initial treason committed in the overthrow continues today in the effort to extinguish the Kingdom through creation of a nation-within-a-nation or “half-government to government” relationship between people of Hawaiian ancestry and the United States government…
“Our people have been operating under a coercive government since the overthrow. They have not had free will or self-determination. They have been challenged to survive, preserve our culture, and reach for what has been possible in a seriously constrained set of options.
“For those who cease and desist by January 17, 2015 in pursuing options that deny the continued existence of the Kingdom or otherwise work to extinguish the Kingdom, I will extend amnesty. I am basically offering to fulfill the agreement made in the exchange of notes between our Queen and the United States President at the time of the overthrow in which the Queen agreed not to execute or banish those who committed treason and the President agreed to restore the Kingdom government with the Queen on her throne.
“…Once the Kingdom judiciary is reestablished, my Attorney General will bring charges against those who have not terminated their relationship with the conspiracy by the date set forth above…
“I especially call upon the Trustees of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs to step away from that flawed institution… OHA cannot even pretend to be anything other than a surrogate for the occupying power. The time has come to end the charade that OHA is protecting and serving the Hawaiian people.“

Aloha Kakou,
Voices of the Kupuna are…
“If the United States and the OHA gang succeed in creating a nation within a nation given land, money, some autonomy etc., that will be a wedge between the “Native Hawaiians” and the rest of the Kingdom subjects that will be very difficult to bridge. The whole purpose of the OHA effort has been to break off the “Native Hawaiians” from the rest of the Kingdom subjects in a classic “divide and conquer” strategy. Their purpose is to destroy the Kingdom.
Their strategy will work to some extent. There will be those of Hawaiian ancestry who will want to live in the separate nation, there will be those who remain loyal to the Kingdom and will continue to work for independence, and there will be those who will take the opportunity to remain citizens of the United States.
There will also be some strengthening of the United States position, i.e. they will have paid some reparations and otherwise given the indigenous people some form of “self-government.” However, once you see the more attractive alternatives that the kingdom will provide, no one will want to be a part of a nation within a nation.
…I ask you, do you see it differently?
From my na’au here is my Kuleana…
In ancient Hawai’i, Natural Law guided the Human civilization. The people understood that their decisions regarding the use of natural resources should be guided by the principle of protecting and enhancing the ecosystems and the resources supported by those ecosystems, so that future generations would thrive.
As a primary example, from study over many years, our island people understood when a particular fish species would be spawning. Since future generations would require fish to eat, Natural Law would mean not harming the fish in their spawning season.
Anyone who did take a fish out of season would be expressing their lack of concern for the survival of the community. The punishment for such an act was swift and could include banishment from their community or even death.
As an aside, one could conclude that in today’s world that view of Natural Law is upside down. People who are knowingly destroying civilization through exploiting natural resources, particularly fossil fuels, are paragons of the community, elevated by their wealth while their lack of concern for future generations is ignored. In the Kingdom, those who contribute their ideas, labor, and love to preserving the future will be honored and welcomed.
We can see Natural Law reflected in the laws passed by Humans. For crimes that fundamentally challenge the continued existence of the community, such as murder, the punishment is harsh, including the death penalty. For crimes that threaten the continued viability of the government, such as treason, the punishment is similar.
This discussion is relevant to the policy decisions that will have to be made in the restored Kingdom about those who have cooperated in the effort to destroy the Kingdom. The initial treason committed in the overthrow continues today in the effort to extinguish the Kingdom through creation of a nation-within-a-nation or “half-government to government” relationship between people of Hawaiian ancestry and the United States government. Under the ancient laws, such a crime would be punishable by banishment or death. Under the Kingdom laws, such a crime would also be punishable by death.
Today, however, our task is to unite our people. In this instance, I prefer to apply the ancient Jewish law: Once coerced, innocent.
Our people have been operating under a coercive government since the overthrow. They have not had free will or self-determination. They have been challenged to survive, preserve our culture, and reach for what has been possible in a seriously constrained set of options.
Under such circumstances, it would be unfair to punish people according to either ancient Hawaiian law or Kingdom law, neither of which has been observed for more than 120 years.
At the same time, I cannot simply ignore those who now know the truth and persist in denying the truth. There is a saying circulating in the Kingdom based on the new understandings of the law and history: We thought that we were adopted and found out that we were kidnapped. That profound shift in understanding is bringing people more and more people to view the restoration of our nation as the only true correction for the wrong that was committed.
For those who cease and desist by January 17, 2015 in pursuing options that deny the continued existence of the Kingdom or otherwise work to extinguish the Kingdom, I will extend amnesty. I am basically offering to fulfill the agreement made in the exchange of notes between our Queen and the United States President at the time of the overthrow in which the Queen agreed not to execute or banish those who committed treason and the President agreed to restore the Kingdom government with the Queen on her throne.
At the same time, I cannot ignore those who knowingly continue to conspire. Once the Kingdom judiciary is reestablished, my Attorney General will bring charges against those who have not terminated their relationship with the conspiracy by the date set forth above. The penalty I will seek is (1) prohibition for life on holding any office in the Kingdom government and (2) prohibition from receiving any financial benefits from the Kingdom or derived from Kingdom properties. Those who wish to destroy our nation should not be allowed to participate in the governance of our nation or receive benefits from our nation.
I especially call upon the Trustees of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs to step away from that flawed institution. As the millions of trust dollars spent to destroy the Kingdom and the fraudulent efforts to create a roll of Hawaiians willing to pursue that destruction demonstrate, OHA cannot even pretend to be anything other than a surrogate for the occupying power. The time has come to end the charade that OHA is protecting and serving the Hawaiian people.
If, over time, those subject to this penalty demonstrate that they have made significant contributions to restoring our nation, I will consider pardoning them and welcoming them back into full citizenship rights.
Once the Legislature is reestablished, I will ask that the death penalty be abolished in the Kingdom. Like war, the death penalty is really a form of Human sacrifice. We must find more enlightened means of addressing those who violate the sacredness of our community and the Natural World.
In closing…
Be loyal to those with whom you work in the battles of life. “A house divided against itself cannot stand” (Mark 3:25).
Stand up for loyalty to your heritage. Each of us represents the latest chapter in a long line of generations. Included in those generations are forebears, many of whom made terrible sacrifices for that which we have today. They have left us good names that have been safeguarded through the generations. The name that you carry is a treasured possession. Keep it unsullied. Pass it to the next generation without stain or embarrassment. Stand up for loyalty to those who have gone before you.
