I am feeling very tired right now. So I will just post these three videos that show some of the physical manifestations of the tsunami, here on the Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. These are quite astounding videos.
Many I know here felt rather drained yesterday and today. But today the ocean, which was murky from sediment churned up by the tsunami, was clearer than I had ever seen it. There is a reason for this event, and clarification, or enlightening, is one of those reasons.
Here are the videos.
Kailua Bay tsunami wave…
The fellow who took this says, “An hour after the first tsunami wave hit Kona, Hawaii – I popped down to see the damage but didn’t fully anticipate the surges that follow. A little close!” We should all be grateful for crazy people like this guy!!
This sea wall is where I often walk. I love to walk on the sea wall because you can usually see and smell the blue ocean and fish below. But this is NOT blue water.

Kealakekua Bay damage…
I live up about 800 feet (elevation) and about 5 miles inland, and I can see the Bay from my house.
This shows the 2-story house that was picked up and deposited into the bay.
