Unmasking the mask pt 3… “U.S. Constitutional amendments which may apply”

Well, I’m not necessarily a “Constitutional scholar”, but I did a bit of looking around and found that three amendments (1st, 4th, 14th), may apply to this mask deal, as well as “assembling with others”. Here they are… (from this source)

1st Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

4th Amendment
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

14th Amendment
Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

So it does appear that these entire “wear a mask” and “social distancing” mandates, set forth by governors, cities, towns, councils, etc., do not align with these U.S. Constitutional amendments.

I’m sure there’s more that could be explored here, but perhaps this gives a starting point, for those into checking out more.
