Kp Letter (email) of 7-11-15, to the “State of Hawaii” DLNR… “I disagree wholeheartedly with your collective decision…”

This is the third of three posts I am making related to today’s DLNR decision to make “new emergency rules” about Mauna Kea.

Sometimes the juices flow, and I feel something in me must express itself. The email below is simply my mana’o (heartfelt opinion) on the decision of the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) to impose new “emergency rules” for Mauna Kea.

Subject: I disagree wholeheartedly with your collective decision…

Aloha to all of you on the Board of DLNR…

Why did you seemingly waste the time of so many people who came from all over the islands to testify today at the public hearings?

It’s as if you could care less about protecting anyone except your own (and the so-named “State of Hawaii’s”) self interests. What’s the point of public testimony where seemingly 95% of testifiers opposed the new rules, but you go ahead and approve them anyway? Fortunately, at least two of you had the courage to vote “no”.

Your actions, as evidenced from the emails recently published in the Herald Tribune and West Hawaii Today, are so clearly intended to simply drive The Protectors off of the Mauna. And that’s the ONLY reason for these rules (oh, of course, there IS one more reason: to protect the foreign-investor-backed corporation called “TMT”). Many testifiers pointed this out to you.

I will share this with you…

You are attempting to make your own bed from a set of deceptions and lies. You will NEVER be comfortable in that bed, because it cannot hold together. Deception and lies have no power to hold anything together.

The Protectors have done simply what their name says… they have Protected the Mauna. You continually point to them as “protestors”, “campers”, “posing dangers”, when they are nothing of the sort. Who has been injured, in any way, by what they have done? No one. Who has the DLNR, rangers, etc., harmed? They have apparently bumped and or run over two of The Protectors with their vehicles.

And how about the hundreds of visitors coming to the now closed visitor center every day, and not being able to use the bathrooms or get water? It’s the Protectors which cared for them… not you.

One day you may see the Mauna as we do… as a Sacred Place that should always be honored and respected, particularly for the local Hawaiian descended ohanas who are by birthright, caretakers, stewards, of Mauna a Wākea, realm of Poli’ahu. As of now it appears you do not.

But until that day, you will find the Mauna, and her Protectors, will continue to stand up for herself in Kapu Aloha to the ignorant actions of groups of people who are short-sighted and non-connected to the Spirit of these Islands, which apparently several of you are in (in my humble view).

This is the time of what some would call, the “Apocalypse”, meaning, “unveiling”. The veil has been lifted, and the world now sees you for who you REALLY are, and sees the intent behind your actions for what it REALLY is. You cannot hide any more.

Your time of desecration of Mauna a Wākea is coming to an end. Your time of desecration of all of the Kingdom of Hawai’i are coming to an end. Your time of working with what is called “The State of Hawaii” is coming to an end.

A New Age has dawned on the Kingdom of Hawai’i… and the Light for that New Age has been lit by a spark from Mauna a Wākea.

It will never be extinguished. It is shining now. And it will shine forever.
