This is a talk I attended (yes, you’ll see me in my gray shirt somewhere in here), and found the information helpful to understanding the idea of Aloha ‘Aina. Kaleikoa is quite a powerful speaker, and I feel many will enjoy hearing his message. Also, thhis is the kind of a group get together I enjoy… pule (prayer) and song at the beginning, and song at the end.

A long time activists for many different Hawaiian issues, Kaleikoa is also an associate professor of Hawaiian Studies at the UH Maui College. Chalkier was a lecturer in Hawaiian Language at UH Manoa, a teacher at King Kekaulike Hawaiian Immersion High School as well as the culture and education program manager for the Kahoʻolawe Island Reserve Commission. Tonight he speaks on the topic of Aloha ʻĀina ʻOiaʻiʻo.
