VT 10-26-14… “Israeli minister warns of crisis in ties with US”

israel_minister_lapidAn earlier VT article (Washington snubs Israeli minister of military affairs) announced this “snub”, which appears to be part of a process of de-Zionization. I mainly post this here for the highlights I got from the comments by Jim Dean.

“[Jim Dean, from the first article] …with the elections just around the corner, when the Zionist mobsters also have a long history of setting up media bombs to divert attention away from the election issues, this took some gonads for the White House to do. This never would have happened in the Bush… or Clinton White Houses.

“[Jim Dean] …this was a major incident taking place very close to the November elections…Obama telling Moshe Ya’alon and Bibi that the ploy not only did not work, but got shot down in flames in front of AIPAC and everybody.

“Lost in all the post Gaza reporting is that Obama is financially supporting the Palestinian coalition government with Hamas, which Israel had hoped to taint forever…

“…It is a US signal to Israel that the tail does not wag the dog like the Obama haters love to claim. Despite our issues at VT with the President on Syria and Ukraine, he has stood up the the Zios like no American President has before, and has the track record of Israeli government hatred to prove it.

“I would not be surprised that after the elections and he heads into his final two year, that we might see more surprises in store for Israel. Nothing will be earth shaking, just a bit by bit process to taint Netanyahu and encourage political rivals to go after him to “restore” American relations.

[from the article] “Observers say Washington’s plan to work with the new [Palestinian] unity government shows Obama’s more openness to the Palestinians and the fact that his administration is more critical of Israel.”

Israeli minister warns of crisis in ties with US

[ Editor’s Note: Lapid’s using the word “crisis” was not a slip of the tongue, but calculated to twist the knife on Bibi over having the Military Affairs Minister turned away at both the doors of the Whitehouse and State Department… an unprecedented event.

As I posted last night in the initial article, Washington snubs Israeli minister of military affairs, this was a major incident taking place very close to the November elections…Obama telling Moshe Ya’alon and Bibi that the ploy not only did not work, but got shot down in flames in front of AIPAC and everybody.

Lost in all the post Gaza reporting is that Obama is financially supporting the Palestinian coalition government with Hamas, which Israel had hoped to taint forever, as part of his divide and keep the Palestinians conqured strategy. Obamas move was not only practical, but an olive branch to the new government after the US opened up its weapons storage facilities for Israel to help themselves during the bombing of Gaza.

But there is more. It is a US signal to Israel that the tail does not wag the dog like the Obama haters love to claim. Despite our issues at VT with the President on Syria and Ukraine, he has stood up the the Zios like no American President has before, and has the track record of Israeli government hatred to prove it.

Obama is sending a message, a public one, that he knows the Likuds pulled the Gaza bombing to kill the new Palestinian coalition government, and thereby the peace process.

I would not be surprised that after the elections and he heads into his final two year, that we might see more surprises in store for Israel. Nothing will be earth shaking, just a bit by bit process to taint Netanyahu and encourage political rivals to go after him to “restore” American relations… Jim W. Dean ]

An Israeli minister has warned that relations between Tel Aviv and Washington have reached a crisis point amid growing tensions between the two sides.

On Saturday, Israel’s Finance Minister Yair Lapid said “there is a crisis with the United States,” noting that Washington-Tel Aviv ties “must be managed respectfully and responsibly.”

The warning comes after reports that the US administration rejected a request by Israeli Minister for Military Affairs Moshe Ya’alon to meet with several top-ranking officials, including Vice President Joe Biden, National Security Adviser Susan Rice and Secretary of State John Kerry, during his five-day visit to Washington this week.

The White House has been upset over Ya’alon’s negative comments regarding Kerry’s efforts to forge a peace deal between Israeli and Palestinian officials as well as the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran. Earlier in the year, Ya’alon called Kerry’s efforts for a so-called Israeli-Palestinian peace “messianic and obsessive.”

In response, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the remarks were “offensive and inappropriate especially given all that the US is doing to support Israel’s security needs.” Ya’alon later had to apologize for his statements.

In June, the Tel Aviv regime protested the US decision to continue to work with the new Palestinian unity government and provide funding for it.

Observers say Washington’s plan to work with the new unity government shows Obama’s more openness to the Palestinians and the fact that his administration is more critical of Israel.
