From Ali`i Nui Mō`ī Edmund K. Silva, Jr., 9-2-14… “Reinstating Treaty Diplomatic Relations”

This letter was posted today at the Kingdom of Hawai`i blog. The letter is dated 9-2-14, and, as I understand it, was sent last week to 16 countries (by my count), namely, “all the countries having treaties with the Kingdom of Hawai`i, prior to the overthrow.”

As I see it, this letter represents a very important step for the Kingdom of Hawai`i, as it asserts itself and communicates itself to the world as “The Kingdom of Hawai`i”, throughout the world. As the Kingdom of Hawai`i does this, recognition will indeed come.

I do know there are various “Hawaiian sovereignty” groups and individuals that have said this and said that, and have taken this step and that step, throughout the years, with the honorable intention of restoring the Kingdom. Some may have claimed to be “leaders”, some may have even claimed to be “King”. But they have not yet achieved that goal… the restoration of The Kingdom of Hawai`i.

The difference between Edmund K. Silva, Jr., and those of other groups, is that he is the only one I know of to have fully embraced the role of “Ali`i Nui Mō`ī” (King), and to have been communicating with the world as “Ali`i Nui Mō`ī”.

He knows that this is his path (kuleana) for this lifetime. His genealogy supports this, as do his words and actions. It is not about “He vs. all the other Hawai’ian groups”. It is about he being in the right position, at the right time, to work for the unification of ALL those different groups.

It is about him fully accepting his role as leader (Ali`i Nui Mō`ī)… of The Kingdom of Hawai`i, as The Kingdom of Hawai`i, and for The Kingdom of Hawai`i.

To me, his BEingness IS that of “Ali`i Nui Mō`ī of The Kingdom of Hawai`i”.

And that, to me, is what separates him from every other person in any of the Hawaiian sovereignty groups.

For this now moment in Hawai`i, He is in a position to restore the Kingdom. He is the complete package.

As to the letter, here are a few highlights, as I see them.

“In time of great peril, your predecessors failed in their responsibility to come to the aide of Queen Lili`uokalani. Today, I pray we can right this substantial wrong between us. Through us the shame, stained on your nation, can be washed clean, your predecessors can rest in peace, and our nations can once again enjoy friendship and prosperity all the days of our lives simply because we did the right and noble thing.

“Still active are Lawful ‘Treaties’ that were signed between your predecessor(s) and my family, which stems from King Kamehameha I to Queen Lili`uokalani. As these ‘Treaties’ were never abolished, it is your moral and political obligation to honor these ‘Treaties’ today.

“Therefore I, the anointed King of the Kingdom of Hawai’i, invoke the sacred rights of ancient past. In honor to my ancestors and yours, I ask that each of you stand in solidarity with me in reinstating the Kingdom of Hawai’i back among the Nations of the World, as the Sovereign Kingdom it has always been. The Kingdom of Hawai’i is more radiant now than she was before the illegal overthrow, and her beauty, which is the spirit of ‘Aloha’, cannot be denied to the world any longer. Through me, she is restored.

“My cousin [Queen Lili`uokalani] yielded her authority to the U.S. under a specific condition … ‘yield my authority UNTIL such time as the Government of the United States shall, upon facts being presented to it, undo the actions of its representative.’

“Whatever went wrong that caused your nation not to step forward and help undo this unlawful overthrow is not the issue anymore; we must forgive and move forward. I, as the Lawful King, am calling upon you to unite with me and honor the ‘Treaty’ we have between us, and to stand in solidarity with me as we move together to undo this substantial wrong. Let us declare this Kingdom reinstated, through all official ‘Treaties’ that were never abolished, and are the Law of this Land.

“The following is my authority to enforce these ‘Treaties’ as Good Law. I am the King and here is my sacred Royal Genealogy, which was written by our royal Genealogist. It goes back to ancient Hawai’i, and even back to the beginning of time. Therefore it is pure and unmolested as to credibility… [the genealogy is included in this document].

“I continue to honor the words of my cousin, Queen Lili`uokalani, and humbly request that you stand with me as I move my government to its long awaited independence, which has been so long denied. If you are prepared to accept my request to restore diplomatic relations, please notify me when you are prepared to receive my ambassador.”
