What am I Working for??

What am I Working for?? Okay that’s a rhetorical question. If you are indeed “working”, meaning, in a standard type of work situation, have you ever asked yourself, “What am I Working for??”

Many of us have lived in the “traditional” channels of “working for a living”. We went to high school, then college, then maybe even graduate school. We put our resumes out there, we interviewed, we got “the job”. We did the 8-5 of working for “the man”, “the woman”, “the boss”, “the corporation”. Maybe we even loved it. That was my path, and most jobs I had, with most companies, I accepted because they “resonated” with my deep insides. That is and was fabulous.

But often we found ourselves tiring of the corporate gig. We ultimately transferred from that corporate world, that world of working for a living in someone else’s company, and following their guidelines, to becoming our own boss, creating our own company, and calling our own shots. Some are very accomplished at doing that, and many enjoy it; personally, I did for awhile, then, later, I did not. So what about those who are not into starting, running, and building a business?

Just a bit about my case, my own experience. Although having my own company (first, a local chemistry consulting service, and, later, a music business (writing music, singing and playing guitar, entertaining, recording, writing CDs) was indeed freeing, and for awhile, very much fun, the business part just never was intuitive for me. And the business part still is not. In fact, I really spend no time in any of that anymore. I do not resonate with it, and never will.

You know, in my mind, if I do not want to start and run a business, I should not feel I have to. NO NO NO. That is not in resonance with who I am. And I should not have to hire anybody to do it, or be concerned at all with how to do it, or even do it at all.

I have finished doing anything that does not resonate with my spirit. I have finished, for all time, “working” for a living. I am not joking. That period of my life is at an end. And I am finding truth in the statement, “I will never work another day in my life.”

At the current time, everything in which I am engaged comes solely from the inner guidance (Spirit, Heart, God, whatever you want to call it). Nothing else matters, and I expend NO energy, on working or endeavoring in any way, to make money, to make “a living”, to “make ends meet”.

In my own case, I was given the message, several months ago, that I would never “work” again. The message conveyed that I needed to be free to follow the callings of the energy within and around the planet, and to work with it, healing, opening portals, and so on. So during the past 2 years, I was “called” to go by myself as well as join various groups, to do what this planet wanted done. And for years, even before this, I lived, and still do live, by these principles:

  • Where I am called, I go.
  • Where I feel drawn, I go
  • When I feel like writing something, I write
  • When I feel like playing music, I play music.
  • When I felt called to Kauai, I went.
  • When I felt called to Oahu, I went.
  • When I felt called to Indiana, I went.
  • When I felt called to Peru, I went.
  • When I felt called to Jordan, I went.
  • When I felt called to Gizeh (Egypt, the Pyramids), I went.
  • …And so on…

At this moment, one day, one moment at a time, I have what I need to carry on on this planet. I live very simply. My rent is very very low. My expenses are low. And for several periods during the past year, following my “callings”, I have lived out of my car. I slept under the stars. I ran in the sun and the rain, and basked in the warmth of the sun, and slept in the chill of the nights. But I was provided for at every moment of those “callings”.

Here’s the deal. Some of us, I sense, are “leading edgers”. We lead the way. We are at the edge of the next stage. We continually move into the regions beyond the ordinary, or “norm” (we are sometimes considered “over the edge”; what a great compliment!). And we are often the first to demonstrate living in/at/on a higher level.

And we are each becoming “leading edgers”. As a planet, we are a “leading edger”. We are doing something that has never been done before… ascending in Spirit and with the body.

Every human on the face of this planet should be given everything they need to “survive” on this planet. A roof over their heads, all the food they need, vehicles to move around, everything, so they may easily follow their own “callings”. They should not have to “work” for it… period. And this assists all of us, the planet, to rise higher and higher in joy.

Taken from my iPhone with no idea how it would turn out

And that is where we are headed. As all of our so-called “survival” needs are provided (or as we call on the Universe to provide those needs), one by one each of us begins to do solely what we enjoy… solely what we love… and solely folliw our own “callings”.
